Nomad Lodges

Eco Lodges

Since February 2016

Nomad Lodges Amazonas is an ecotourism project based in 500,000 hectares of the Colombian Amazon. Built in keeping with the 4C framework of Conservation, Community, Culture, and Commerce, the lodge design is inspired by local traditions and a mission to reconnect people with nature. Committed to enhancing the local community, 100% of employees are from neighbouring communities, and 20% of revenue goes back to local communities seeking to protect their ecosystems and culture.

Nomad Amazonas is an ambitious ecotourism project built to support 22 communities that have lived in balance for nature for many generations. Guest accommodation is low-impact, built using traditional building techniques, and each stay contributes directly to the protection of nature, local traditions, and communities. The guest experience is based on the discovery of the two main ecosystems through walks in the forest and boat excursions on the rivers and lakes of the region.

Five tonnes of non-organic waste has been recycled to date.

COMMUNITY

60 families benefit directly from the project.

CULTURE

90% of food is produced locally.
