CONSERVATION

Postcard Travel Club promotes conservation-centric properties by ensuring that the community of conscious luxury travellers enjoy their adventures while preserving the natural environment. By partnering with eco-friendly accommodations, Postcard Travel Club highlights properties that prioritise sustainable practices such as energy conservation, plastic waste reduction and wildlife protection.

Members of the Postcard Travel Club have access to a curated selection of properties like Suryagarh (India), Emboo River Camp (Kenya) and Inkaterra Reserva Amazonica (Peru), among others, that are committed to minimising their ecological footprint and actively contribute to local conservation efforts. This approach allows travellers to make informed choices that support environmental stewardship, resulting in a deeper connection with nature and a positive impact on the planet.

COMMUNITY

Postcard Travel Club is committed to promoting community-centric properties, offering conscious travellers the opportunity to connect with and support local communities. By partnering with accommodations that prioritise and showcase local culture and traditions, the company ensures that each stay directly benefits the surrounding local communities.

Members can choose from a range of properties like Nepali Ghar (Nepal) and Zuri Zanzibar (Tanzania), among others, that emphasise fair labour practices, use locally sourced labour and materials, and contribute to community development projects. This focus on community-centric properties allows travellers to immerse themselves in authentic local experiences while making a positive impact on the lives of the residents, fostering meaningful connections and sustainable tourism.

CULTURE

Postcard Travel Club actively promotes culture-centric properties, enabling their community of conscious travellers to immerse themselves in the rich traditions and heritage of the destinations. By featuring properties that celebrate local art, cuisine, craft and customs, Postcard travellers enjoy unique, culturally enriching experiences.

Their partner properties like Suryagarh (India) and Saruni Mara (Kenya), among others, often collaborate with local artisans, host cultural events and offer activities that showcase the region's history and traditions. By choosing culture-centric properties, travellers not only gain knowledge about the places they visit but also support the preservation and promotion of cultural diversity by engaging in local cultural activities. This approach enriches their travel experience, creating lasting memories and enabling a global understanding of diverse cultures.

COMMERCE

Postcard Travel Club has significantly impacted local commerce and properties by highlighting sustainable and community-oriented practices. For instance, many properties within the Club's network prioritise sourcing food from local markets, ensuring fresh, organic produce while supporting local farmers and reducing carbon footprints. An example of this impact is seen in a small coastal village in India where a partner property, Coconut Lagoon (CGH Earth), sources its seafood directly from local fishermen, boosting the local economy and ensuring guests enjoy the freshest catches.

Additionally, Postcard Travel Club features properties like Hotel Otavalo (Ecuador) that showcase locally made products and crafts, which helps artisans thrive and preserves traditional crafts. These initiatives support economic growth and sustainability, creating a positive ripple effect throughout the community.
