Located on a 13,355-hectare concession in South Africa’s Kruger National Park, Singita Lebombo and Sweni lodges, welcome guests to participate in environmentally conscious hospitality, sustainable conservation and community partnerships.
An immersive experience and intimate connection with nature, promoting well-being and a sense of place through limited guest and vehicle numbers. Guests enjoy exceptional game viewing and warm-hearted hospitality in spaces designed to bring the outdoors in, set against a backdrop of giant euphorbia trees. Partnering with the Singita Lowveld Trust, Singita’s local non-profit trust in South Africa, SKNP contributes to community and biodiversity programmes. For example, SANPark’s rhino dehorning and canine (dog) unit from a biodiversity perspective with the Singita Community Culinary School being their flagship community partnership programme.
CONSERVATION
Over 1MWp of solar PV capacity, providing over 75% clean renewable energy to lodges and staff accommodation.
70% reduction of plastic recycling waste over the last 6 years.
COMMUNITY
114 young local people have graduated from SKNP's Community Culinary School since inception.
Strong emphasis on creating local employment opportunities, with 75% of employees coming from the local community.
CULTURE
SKNP keeps local culture alive through design and décor, drawing on local artists and artisans to ensure the authenticity of design.
They encourage the expression of local culture through language and dance, introduced into the guest experience.
COMMERCE
Over R4,8m raised through guest donations for the Singita Community Culinary School programme since 2018.
Nearly R6m in donations from the 'Safaris with a Purpose' dehorning guest experiences since 2022.
