Located in an area frequented by black rhino, the camp supports a dedicated rhino ranger team to which every guest contributes. Guests enjoy transformative experiences against a backdrop of understated luxury, from witnessing the iconic wildebeest migration to close encounters with the big five. The Safari Collection's Footprint Trust strives to nurture a harmonious coexistence between tourism and the environment. Sala’s Camp Highlights

Low impact accommodation - 7 beautiful guest tents along the riverside with views into the wild. Each one low profile to blend with the surroundings, with solar-powered electricity and air source heat pumps for minimal environmental footprint.
Thoughtful food policy - an organic kitchen garden grows fresh produce as part of a ‘Thoughtful Food’ policy, which aims to reduce waste and minimise food miles, focusing on local, fresh and nutritious ingredients.
Rhino conservation - Every guest supports the Mara Rhino Rangers, dedicated to protecting a critically endangered black rhino population. Alongside their conservation partners, Sala’s Camp are heavily involved in innovative initiatives to protect this species, including GPS tagging.
Earth Ranger System - Sala’s Camp were key partners in implementing an innovative monitoring system ‘Earth Ranger’ in the Mara, for more effective wildlife management in the reserve.
