Pousada Trijunção
Eco Lodges
Since NOVEMBER 2018
Pousada Trijunção is above all a conservation project, combined with regenerative tourism. The experiences deeply touch travellers in an immersive way, connecting them with the Cerrado and its biodiversity, strengthening the harmonious bond between people and nature, and turning them guardians of the biome. Fazenda Trijunção occupies 33,000 hectares of conserved Cerrado, forming an ecological corridor with Grande Sertão Veredas National Park.
By using tourism to restore land and wildlife, Pousada Trijunção actively resists the expansion of irresponsible agriculture that dominates the Cerrado. The property and landscape is home to incredible bird and animal species — a bird monitoring programme has recorded over 240 species, and a Maned wolf conservation project is run in partnership with Projeto Onçafari (as recently seen in the Planet Earth series). Guests enjoy intimate stays in just seven rooms and one villa, with a focus on experiencing the rich biodiversity and cultural heritage of the region.
