Eco Lodges
MEMBER Since May 2019
Estancia Pampa Grande offers true immersion into traditional Argentinian gaucho life. Set in a fertile valley at 1700m altitude, within 30,000 hectares of land, guests can explore the wild landscape on horseback, by bike, or on foot enjoying locally sourced foods and wines whilst staying in a comfortable, refined house.
Between subtropical forests to the east and the dry plateaux of the Puna to the west, more than half of Pampa Grande’s land is densely forested. Rich in biodiversity, it’s home to rare trees and many bird and wildlife species. Land use on the 460 hectares dedicated to organic agriculture and cattle follows a rational, rotational, and organic system, overseen by a team of workers from the community to maximise the land’s productivity. Due to Pampa Grande’s remote location, the valley’s 150-strong population rely on local employment opportunities.
